Umbretta was once the end of worlds.
A shadowspawn warlord feared across the cosmos, she ruled through silence, extinction, and inevitability. When the wars finally grew endless, she abandoned the stars and vanished into a forgotten place called Earth.
There, among fragile humans and hidden monsters, she chose exile over conquest.
Earth is not peaceful. Beneath its cities and villages, ancient creatures still hunt, disguising themselves in human form and feeding in secret. Into this fragile balance steps Umbretta — not as a queen, but as a guardian.
Those she saves are sometimes offered more than protection. Through forbidden power, humans may be reborn as her kin — daughters of shadow who walk between humanity and monstrosity.
What begins as survival becomes something stranger: motherhood.
As Umbretta raises her children and shields a world she was never meant to love, the greatest war she fights is no longer against empires — but against the part of herself that once believed compassion was weakness.
